Hyper What?!

Learn what HyperDocs are all about. They are more than just digital worksheets.

This session will introduce you to HyperDocs and time will be provided for you to create a HyperDoc to use in your classroom. This is a 'make-it-take-it session.

Transform every day worksheets with Google Docs into Hyper-Docs. The Hyper-Doc is a concept that promotes inquiry based learning. Students participate in reading, writing, problem solving or discussions through a Hyper-Doc. The Hyper Doc process promotes analysis, synthesis and evaluation of class content. Participants will learn how to create their own Hyper-Docs, be provided with several templates and be introduced to the 4 C’s. Google Doc skills learned include: page setup, converting Microsoft Word files to Google Doc files, linking, formatting (line spacing, columns) tables, and inserting images. This is a ‘make it take it’ session. Participants will be able to create their own Hyper-Doc lesson to use in their classroom the very next day

Classes are free for districts with PD contracts. Contact your tech coordinator or treasurer if you are unsure whether your district has a contract. Otherwise, a 3 hour class costs $50, a 2 hour class costs $35. Online courses are $10 an hour (courses vary from 1 hour to 3 hours). The fee for Graduate Credit through Ashland University is $200 and paid upon completing course requirements.

Contact the TCCSA PD team with questions or requests. We’re happy to bring any of these topics, and more, to your district.
