If you missed Summer Sessions, we have many classes recorded so you can still earn credit! Lunch and Learn Sessions are recorded weekly and also added to the "60-minutes or Less" website as well.

Boom, Flip, Wow: Technology in the Classroom (60 minutes)

Looking for a new way to get your students engaged and excited about their learning? Flipgrid is an online tool that involves video recordings, peer feedback, and a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning. This session will also touch on using the free version of “Boom Cards” in the classroom—a great way for students to practice any skill in an interactive and engaging way!

 

Choose Your own Adventure with Google Slides (60 minutes)

From instruction to creative writing, allow students to choose their own adventure through Google Slides. See how to link slides to create your own and see examples teachers have used in the classroom.

In a world where we have been forced into using technology on a more consistent basis, students need to find a way to demonstrate their comprehension in creative ways. Students can demonstrate comprehension of their reading through summarizing using various forms of technology that will be discussed in this session.

 

Engaging Students by Gamifying Assessment Questions (60 minutes)

Engage students by gamifying assessment questions. Both Quizizz and Gimkit allow educators to engage students in learning and provide assessment feedback to educators. In this session, you will learn to create and use various games and tools through the Quizizz and Gimkit platforms.

 

Self-Checking Assignments Using Google Sheets (60 minutes)

Google Sheets can be used for so much more than collecting data and creating graph. Come learn how to set up a Google Sheet for students to use as a self-checking assignment. It's a win, win for all. 

 

Using AutoCrat to Automate Your Documents (60 minutes)

Add Spark into Your Lesson (60 minutes)

Using Adobe Spark you can easily create beautiful graphics and videos. Student can narrate through a story or create a fun video to view over and over. Use for an announcement or have student create a year-end summary. The ideas are endless.

 

We be Jammin' with Jamboard (60 minutes)

Jamboard is the up-and- coming Google app and recent fan favorite for simple presentations. Use the whiteboard features to lead your class or collaborate with students on one Jam. Leave this session knowing how to use the Jamboard app tools and strategies for using Jamboard in your classroom. You will also gain access to a plethora of templates you can copy and build your own Jamboard Library
