Pic Jointer & Photo Grid 8/2/12

I have heard that one way to decide on an app is to take suggestions from someone else. This week, I have done just that. Photo Grid, for Android, was suggested as a way to create photo collages. For iOS I found Pic Jointer. These two apps are very similar to one another but are created by two different developers. Each app will allow you to select a layout, there are several combinations to choose from. Next, get photos from your device and make adjustments to each photo. Next you can apply photo effects, frame choices, such as color and texture and you can save your creation. If you’re into social media, you can share your work on Facebook or Twitter.

Pic Jointer, by Leping Li, is free and can be upgraded to the Pro version for  $1.99. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pic-jointer/id509987785?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2

Photo Grid, by RoidApp, is free and there is no ‘paid for’ version.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roidapp.photogrid&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5yb2lkYXBwLnBob3RvZ3JpZCJd

The reason a photo collage app came up was because of a Movie Maker class. Movie Maker is a fun program to make photo slide shows but there’s only one photo on the screen at a time. With a little work, ahead of time, you can have slides with a collage of multiple images instead of the typical one image per slide. Whether it’s Movie Maker, PhotoStory or some other Video Editing software, you can insert collages made with Pic Jointer or Photo Grid to enhance your projects.
