Pick and choose what you want to learn!

Attend 2 Saturdays, (6 topics*) complete a small project based on the topics learned, once submitted you will be able to register for one graduate credit through Ashland University.

If you do not need credit you may attend for CEUs or apply individual sessions to your current credit log. Each Saturday will have 3 different topics so you can pick and choose what topics you want to attend.

MAKING MORE OUT OF GOOGLE SLIDES 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM register

Learn new tricks to make your slideshow more presentable. See how you can customize each slide or change the template. Learn how to interact with the students using an Add-on called PearDeck.

 

USING GOOGLE FORMS TO CREATE A REVIEW AND SOLVE A MYSTERY  10:30 AM - 12:30 PM register

See how you can use multiple apps to create a fun, active Clue game for your students. Great for a review activity. Solve the mystery by using Docs, Slides and of course Forms. So the real answer is ‘Who Dunnit’ ?

 

CREATING MERGES WITH AUTOCRAT 1:00 PM -3:00 PM register

You can create mail merges with Google with a simple Add-on called Autocrat. We will focus on using multiple Google applications to collect, merge and send information to staff members, parents, students, etc. You design the template, Autocrat will merge the information.

USING SCREENCASTIFY 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM register

Are you going to miss teaching a class and starting a new lesson? Can the sub follow your plans? You can record your voice and capture your screen with an extension called Screencastify. You will acquire many uses for Screencastify, whether you are creating videos to support in-class instruction, experimenting with a flipped classroom or teach a blended course, you will leave this session knowing how to record videos with several options for posting them online.

 

BOOK CREATOR 10:30 AM-12:30 PM register

Learn a simple way to create eBooks to share with your students. This app is simple enough that your students can share their story through a digital book. From simple picture books to story books to journals. See how fun creating an eBook can be.

 

GOOGLE SITES 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM register

Using Google Sites is an easy way to create a classroom website by simply adding text, links, images and more with a quick cut-and-paste, or simply drag-and-drop to rearrange and resize elements on the page. Create a classroom photo gallery, embed maps or your Classroom calendar. No prior web design knowledge is needed.

 

*Note: Time earned in after school classes and on Saturdays at TCCSA can be combined for graduate credit.
