Software Support Specialist (EMIS/SIS)

The Tri-County Computer Services Association (TCCSA) has an immediate opening for the position of Software Support Specialist.  TCCSA is an IT service organization providing a full range of IT services to the K-12 Education schools in Ashland, Holmes, Medina, and Wayne counties.

Software Support Specialist (EMIS/SIS)

Responsible To:  TCCSA Executive Director

Employment Status:  Full-Time (12 Month)

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Salary:  Commensurate with training and experience



Provide direct support to TCCSA district(s) using EMIS and Frontline SIS 


Specific Duties:

Maintain proficiency in TCCSA supported applications

Provide support in solving problems and answering questions related to TCCSA supported applications

In coordination with the TCCSA Software Support Team, prepares and conducts training for TCCSA district(s)

Test new applications and notify users of any procedural or operating changes required to implement or use software

Prepare documentation and instructions for users to insure the highest level of understanding and use of TCCSA supported applications

Participate in regional and state meetings, committees, conferences and workshops. Prepare information for group presentation and discussion at TCCSA meetings

Develop reports using application reporting tools and/or database query language

Maintain a positive and cordial relationship with the TCCSA staff, TCCSA users, and the general public

Organize tasks and manage time effectively

Employ independent judgment, initiative, and decision-making skills

Perform other specific job-related duties as directed by Executive Director



Experience with the Education Information Management System and Frontline Student Information System is preferred



Previous technical support or customer support experience desired

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

A high level of professional integrity 

Strong analytical and organizational skills 

Documented evidence of a clear criminal record is required
