The Island Country Of
Genetica
Genetica
sits about 50 miles off the coast of Naturia. The climate is pleasant,
temperatures are moderated by warm ocean currents. The dormant volcano on the
north side of the island provides beautiful vistas, with forested areas. But
the hillside slopes do not allow for agriculture.
The
rest of the island is ringed with sandy soil, poor in nutrients. While chaparral
type vegetation grows well, the island’s farmers have had little success with
crops like corn. They are nutrient poor and the island’s insects seem to love
the stuff. A recent discovery of small,
off shore oil fields has provided the island with some potentially prosperous
trading resources.
