EMIS 101: CR Reporting – No Staff Left Behind

New year, new EMIS record! Starting in FY27, districts have a new Staff Vacancy (CR) Record to add to their EMIS reporting adventures. This session will take a closer look at EMIS Change 27-3 and what districts need to know to successfully report staff vacancies.

We’ll cover who is required to report, which positions are included, when the CR Record is reported, and what information is needed for the Initial and Final Staff and Course (L) Collections. We’ll also review how to identify positions that meet the definition of a staff vacancy—including positions that are intended to be filled during the school year, whether or not the position is ultimately filled.
